In the category of couplings and fittings we have all elements which enable different elements of pipelines to be connected with each other, as well as devices facilitating everyday operation of the system and protecting it against various kinds of damage – mainly mechanical.
Among the fittings, whose main task is to enable the construction of the pipeline in the desired shape and to route the pipes in accordance with the design, we distinguish: tees, cross pieces, elbows and long radius elbow, connections and extensions, couplers, nipples, bolts, caps and bottoms, reducers and tapers. Flanges, connections, tapping saddles, pipe straps and connectors serve a similar function.
